How to make an email account in cPanel.

With our cPanel and Advanced WordPress hosting we offer email hosting. It is super simple to setup your email accounts. Here's how to do it:

*Note: This article is assuming you have correctly pointed your Nameservers or have correctly pointed your A records AND your MX record.

  1. First Step, login to cPanel. If you don't know how to do this, follow this article here.
  2. Next, scroll down to the "Email" section and click on "Email Accounts"
  3. Next, in the top right click "Create"
  4. Now comes the "complicated" part. You should now be on the "Create an Email Account" Screen.
    1. If you have multiple domains or sub-domains on your cPanel account you will see a dropdown above Username to select the domain you'd like this email account to be on.
    2. Next, enter your username. This will be your email. So if your username was tom, your email would be tom@yourdomainname.com
    3. Next, enter your desired password.
    4. Next, enter the amount of storage you would like to allot to your account. We recommend placing a limit on ALL email accounts and increasing them when necessary. This prevents you from running out of space on your account unexpectedly.
    5. Next, decide if you want cPanel's new Plus Addressing feature. For now, we recommend that you "Do Not Automatically Create Folders".
    6. Finally, click on "Create" to make the email account.
  5. You can now use your email account. To connect your account to your PC or phone, click "Connect Devices" on the far right beside the email account and follow the instructions.
  6. Note: We do NOT support unsecure email.  Instead, you should use SSL/TLS for your own security.
  7. Note: We also recommend that you use IMAP instead of POP3.
